As of October 28, 2026, AERO is trading at $0.6720 on the Kraken crypto exchange. The token has gained over 75% since the start of the year, completely offsetting its losses from 2025.
Q3 was particularly strong, with a gain of 72.8%. A pullback began in October.
AERO is the token of the decentralized exchange Aero, which was formed through the merger of the Aerodrome and Velodrome protocols. The merger was finalized on October 21. Aero now operates across seven networks, including Ethereum and Base.
The protocol merger resulted in a token swap. Old AERO tokens were exchanged for new ones at a 1:1 ratio, while VELO tokens can be swapped at a rate of 0.044 AERO per VELO token.
Crypto analysts highlight the reduction in AERO inflation as a key outcome of the merger. The new token emission mechanism is linked to pool revenues: if a pool’s projected profitability falls below the threshold, no new AERO is minted.
Annual inflation is reportedly falling by roughly half, from 12% before the merger to 6.6%. This is a larger reduction than the forecast decline to 8%.
From a technical standpoint, the support range is $0.65–0.6570. The key 50% Fibonacci retracement level lies near $0.65.
If the bears push the price below that level, the next downside target would be the 200-day moving average at $0.5850. A further decline could then take the token toward $0.5680, where the key 61.8% Fibonacci retracement level lies.
The daily chart shows a pattern resembling a bearish flag, which is a negative signal.
However, the regression channel still has a positive slope despite the pullback that began in mid-October. This suggests that the probability of a rebound remains relatively high.
If the token returns to an upward trajectory, the next target range would be $0.73–0.7370. Beyond that, a move toward the next resistance level at $0.7640 could follow.
