BERA Token Plunges 60% Post-Launch: Market Analysis & Price Outlook

BERA’s Market Entry and Initial Performance

BERA entered the crypto market in February 2025. Following the token’s launch, it soared to USD 15.50 but retreated sharply thereafter.

The live Berachain price today is close to USD 5.90, meaning that the token is down over 60%.

Berachain’s Business Foundation

To remind, last March the Berachain platform was valued at USD 1.5 bn. The company managed to attract over USD 140 mn of venture capital.

Berachain operates in the pre-deposit segment, so right before launching the crypto currency it had accumulated over USD 3 bn in deposits from more than 160,000 investors.

Token Ecosystem Breakdown

The blockchain’s model implies the use of three assets – BGT, HONEY and BERA.

Meanwhile, $BGT is used to manage tokens and rewards (it cannot be bought or transferred), HONEY is a stablecoin, while BERA is used for staking and to pay transaction fees.

Market Dynamics and Expert Insights

Given that the company was initially focused on attracting pre-deposits, $BERA predictably nosedived as the launch was followed by distribution and profit-taking.

This development naturally stoked criticism on social networks. “If the token performed better, you might see a very different sentiment on Twitter,” said Rob Hadick, General Partner at Dragonfly.

Hadick also noted that many liquidity providers and funds receive incentives to hold unlocked tokens, but they may not retain them once those incentives run out, adding to potential selling pressure.

Technical Analysis and Price Outlook

Technically, $BERA is currently trading in the range of $5.4–6.3, with local support at $5.8. The trend looks bullish as the regression channel is tilted to the upside.

In the event of a breakout below $5.8, the token could move further toward $5.75 and then $5.4. Under persistent bearish pressure, $BERA could retrace to $5.2 or even $4.6, although it is too soon to price in this scenario.
